For book reviews, I use rate on a scale of 1 – 5 Stars. Below you will find a brief description for each score. It’s not very technical, but it works.

5 Stars: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I seriously cannot stop raving about how much I enjoyed it. When I finished it I had an incredible book hangover and couldn’t get it out of my head. This doesn’t mean it was flawless, but the good way make up for the bad.

4.5 Stars: I thoroughly enjoyed this one! There are so many things that I love about it, and was sad when I finished it. There are a few minor things preventing me from absolutely loving it.

4 Stars: This book is great! You should definitely read it and then tell me when you’re done so we can share our feelings.

3.5 Stars: I enjoyed this one, but I was left wanting more from it. Whether it’s character development or world-building, there was something missing that I needed. If this is part of a series, I’ll most likely continue reading.

3 Stars: This one fell a bit flat for me. There are redeeming qualities but I can just as easily list the things I didn’t like about it. If this was part of a series, I probably would not continue reading.

2.5 Stars: Meh. I’m glad I finished it because I wanted to see how the story ends, but I for sure would not recommend it.

2 Stars: Waste of my time. I did not enjoy it but for some reason I finished it.

1.5 Stars: Did not finish, more than 50% finished

1 Star: Did not finish, less than 50% finished
